Alyssa Erickson
Landscape Designer
Alyssa came into landscape architecture after working as an industrial designer. She performed space planning for systems furniture and designed home decorative accessories. Feeling unsatisfied with designing products merely for decoration, in addition to the downfall of the economy, led her to explore a new field in design. When she learned about landscape architecture, she knew this was the right direction - to work with plants as a tool to define spaces that benefit the ecosystem and to design and build environments for people to commune with nature.
Alyssa finds inspiration in her designs through the history of the site and loves to explore unconventional ideas. She enjoys finding solutions within design constraints and appreciates working with and learning from teams that span various fields of expertise.
She finds beauty in traditional materials and innovative architectural details.
She is at peace when on a boat or sketching the urban or natural environment.
