Sara Peschel

Founding Partner

Founding partner and landscape architect Sara Peschel believes that strong collaboration and open communication are the secrets to creating vibrant, healthy places.

Sarah's work bridges the pragmatic and the poetic. She's led multi-disciplinary teams on complex, award-winning projects for urban parks and waterfronts, cultural institutions, neighborhood revitalizations, and healthcare projects. And she's worked with celebrated artists like Dennis Oppenheim and Vito Acconci on high-profile public art initiatives. These varied experiences have fostered in her a deep interest in how the design process can create personal connections to the natural environment.

In her role as managing partner, Sarah focuses on design direction, project management, and coordination. Her adaptability and flexible approach enable her to work fluidly across different markets, scales, and personalities. With a sharp eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of the public review process, Sara ably navigates the often-confusing steps from schematic design to construction, devising GWO's artful, environmentally sustainable designs and translating them into built form.
